For this traditional style bungalow, we were asked by our clients to create a modern and open-plan proposal. The brief was to create a bright, open kitchen and dining area, as well as make use of the potential lower ground level.

The client particularly wanted a utility area, and a space where they could enjoy overlooking the garden. The lower ground floor was therefore extended and a new staircase was introduced to the basement creating a large airy glass garden room with full access straight to the garden, as well as the utility area.

The new rear extension to the ground floor houses an open-plan feature kitchen/dining room, a space for entertainment or spending time with the family. We included large windows at the rear of the house create a spectacular focal point overlooking the golf course, the windows create a frame around the unobstructed views of the grounds.

Externally, the front of the house remained untouched creating a real statement between the old and the new.
